Nona Mills was incorporated in 2014 for the purpose of investigating and purchasing oil and gas production royalties. Nona Mills Pty Ltd negotiated the acquisition of a 5% royalty over all oil production at the Nona Mills field with the owners of the Nona Mills field - Primrose Resources LLC in 2014 (Nona Mills Royalty).

Nona Mills field is in Hardin County, Texas, USA, which is located approximately 60 miles northeast of Houston and southwest of Kountze. As of 2014 the field has produced 7 million barrels of oil, leaving over 18 million barrels of oil to be recovered using 21st century technology.

In early 2019 Nona Mills completed the acquisition of 0.5% ownership of American Mud Works LLC to develop and diversify the existing project. American Mud Works is located centrally in Woodsfield, OH and is the only fully integrated mud and wastewater processing facility in the region.
